Century Recording doesn't take publishing rights... Doesn't offer advances... Doesn't offer royalties... Because we don't mess with your money. Your albums never have to go "out of print" regardless of sales volume. We can publish on-demand with your permission. We don't require exclusive contracts. We work with Indie labels, artists, managers agencts and promoters. Label financed and owned releases shorten artist careers. It's a dead end cycle. Advances in return for rights, royalties that never seem to pay back advances. Sales that never reach the artist. Then the label stops marketing and producing the album because it's not "new". Labels are like Walmart, they only seek artists and releases that can deliver high volume to feed their high overhead. They drop the rest. Artists get older, fans get older, but in most businesses that means their customer base and sales just keep growing. Ever wonder why that isn't true in music or comedy? It's the label business model. They stop investing when your audience ages into lower volume adult sales because the volume and profits slow down by their standards. It's a lazy system. Here's the labels' secret... labels own a perpetually young fanbase through their young format radio networks and web sites that have replaced retail music stores lately. The Labels just cycle artists through these audiences and discard experienced quality artists and older fans at the end of a 3-5 year cycle... IT STOPS NOW! IT STOPS HERE! Our secret is... Low volume doesn't mean low profit. For indie artists there can be high profit and growing audiences but you have to take on the responsibility of running a small entertainment business. Artists are our clients. Century Recording is an entertainment agency that works on a project basis. You decide what, when and how much we do. You control your infrastructure, releases, tours and road support. We advise, consult and support. No exclusive contracts. THERE IS A SUCCESSFUL INDIE BUSINESS MODEL 
THE PATH FOR STANDUP COMEDIANS  An interesting thing happens when the "label cycle" is broken. 1) Artists can keep selling their old albums along with their new albums because they are still profitable and they own the rights. 2) Fans buy 2-3 albums because the music is new to them or a great gifts. 3) Artists make 85-90% on every sale. 4) Albums never go "out of print" because everyone has a financial interest in selling them, forever, including your kids. 5) As artists get older and better they keep developing new fans. 6) Music becomes an artist owned business again that makes real profits, supports families and homes. What's In A Century Recording Deal: We do offer special services to invited Century Recording artists. We want Century Recording artists to have every advantage our networks and experience can offer: 1) We advertise you in all our entertainment web sites using banner ads - 90+ domains worldwide. 2) We try to match you to private and corporate booking inquiries we receive from our sites. 3) We work to market your releases through our web sites that reach 2.2 million fans monthly. Our sales terms for CD's are: the retail price is $20 or less, you set the price. We take $3.50 as a sales commission. We send you the rest of the money plus a $3.50 shipping fee via Paypal, along with the shipping info. You ship the CD's within 3-days. We never touch your inventory. 4) We include you in your monthly emails to fans, bookers at clubs, casinos, colleges and festivals. 5) We promote you as a roster artist using our services. 6) We submit releases that list Century Recording as the label to the Sound Academy for Grammy consideration. 7) We do not require exclusive agreements from Artists. 8) We look for cooperative branding/exposure and marketing opportunities for and between our clients like Piggybacking, circuit booking, corporate sponsorships. 9) You don't have to use our paid services unless you want to use us. When you do use some of our services, we earn a little and build Century Recording to better serve the Century Recording artists. Things we try to do for Century Recording artists... Sell your releases, get you exposure in over 90 markets worldwide 24/7, match you to a corporate booking every now and then, find you sponsors, hook you up with other artists on our roster. Thanks to the support of Eric Lokke, standup comedian, Randy McAllister, a great singer/songwriter, Gareth Roberts, founder of Denbury Resources (look them up) and over a 1000 standup comedians, there is an alternative. Some experienced musicians and comedians are going to be skeptical, we hear it all the time. I guess it's understandable considering the history of the industry. It's too bad because frequently those are the artists that have the most to gain. Century Recording represents a fundamental change, not some sort of trick. Century Recording is very real. If we like what we hear, we send an email inviting you to become a Century Recording artist. If you are interested, we will get some information from you so we can get started. We will need one CD of each release you want us to market, a photo, bio, booking contact and a signed release to use a 60-second sample of each or select tracks online for sales and booking purposes. We simply agree to work for you on an "as needed basis". Yes, we currently work with more standup comedians than bands. We have more experience in comedy, 12 years.
